A  miniature golf destination is seeking to hire a highly proactive individual  as Assistant Manager who can maintain an exceptionally high standard of customer service(at least as high as the best hospitality and retail establishments in Accra)and ensure a pleasant,novelty experience to customers.

 

    Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise junior staff (2 to 4 at a time) and coordinate with management and other assistant managers to ensure exceptionally high quality customer service,friendly atmosphere,timeliness and cleanliness
  • Handle stock management, record keeping,and cash management responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure that the maintenance and cleaning schedules are rigorously kept by grounds and cleaning staff and that maintenance problems are dealt with promptly
  • Handle cash register and step in to handle food/drink service duties from time to time if needed, particularly busy time periods or when customers are waiting
  • Assist in opening and closing business at the  beginning and end of day when required (includes locks, lights,TV,cleanliness check,stock check, counter service prep, daily records prep, etc.)
  • Interact with customers,monitor their satisfaction/comfort, handle event requests, and troubleshoot issues in a friendly and quick manner
  • Answer telephones
  • Ensure that website and other marketing avenues are kept up-to-date
  • Actively support events,sales and marketing efforts while maintaining the integrity of the company's brand
  • Handle all documentation regarding the operations of the business including petty cash management, document scanning and archival purchase logs.
  • Provide detailed documentation on upcoming events and feedback on completed events

  Requirements

  • University graduates strongly preferred. Fluent spoken and written  English.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft  Word and Excel. Has good office skills and would be comfortable with (or keen to learn) the software,tools and reports that the company uses For example:
  • Ability to prepare an invoice and write a proper email to a customer
  • Ability to reconcile cash/accounts/inventory
  •  Ability to maintain clear/well-organised/detailed records of activities
  • Ability to independently update membership database
  • Ability to anticipate low inventory in advance and make a good plan for purchasing/replacing stock based on assessment of usage/sales patterns
  • Internet-literate
  • Individuals with prior customer-facing job experience preferred(e.g.,in retail,hospitality,technology support,sales & marketing roles,etc.)
  • Friendly personality with good level of energy and fully on board with the company's goal of providing  distinctive/top-of-the-line standard of customer service relative to Ghanaian retail and hospitality standards
  • At ease interacting with customers of varying demographics,ages and nationalities Detail oriented and comfortable with record-keeping and dealing with numbers
  • Ability to trusted to deal with unexpected/unscripted customer service situations or operational setbacks in an intelligent,mature and efficient  way
  • Highly motivated and extremely proactive,flexible and willing to take on responsibility when needed
  • Has an ownership attitude
  • Ability to work late and alternate shift is required on occasion e.g, managing special events
